Whether you’re looking to compete, improve, or simply enjoy a great fun tennis experience in a classic club setting, this event delivers.

Handicap system will be used to even out the game play a little. So whilst not for the complete tennis novice, all skill levels have a chance of winning!

RULES / SCORING

Format: American Tournament

• 20 players across 5 courts.

• 5 or 6 rounds of 6 games of mixed doubles

• 1 point awarded for each game won. Prizes awarded for the players winning the most games

• No advantage scoring. If the score reaches deuce, it’s a sudden death point to win the game. The receiving pair decide who will receive.

• At the end of each round the losing pair stay on the same court but split.

• Split into two groups (Maypoles, Mayflowers). The winning Mayflower moves up a court and the winning Maypole moves down a court. (So if you’re a ‘Mayflower’ and you win on court 1 then you move to Court 2. If you’re a ‘Maypole’ and you win on Court 1 then you move to Court 5).

• If the score is tied at 3 games all then the pair winning the 6th (final) game are deemed winners purely for the purposes of changing court.

• Players must wear appropriate tennis attire
